In Honor of Stupid People
In honor of all the stupid people out there…
On my way to work this morning through a foot of snow and wind strong enough to blow a semi off the road, I was passed seven times, presumably by people doing the above stupid things. The weather man is none too high on my list of favorite people, either. Both of these cartoons caught my attention and made me laugh. The first one is just about right; the second one is something I wish I could do. It occurs to me that regardless of whether or not the stupid groundhog sees his shadow, there will still be six more weeks of winter, but come on! I’m ready for spring and anything that can persuade me that it’s getting just a little bit closer is a good thing, even if it is only a groundhog.
But I digress. Back to that first cartoon. The roads this morning were treacherous; travel was not advised in most of the state. I was dumb enough to leave for work bright and early at 7:45 a.m., just like every morning, but I was smart enough to go slow. Very slow. I’ve seen snails move faster than I did this morning. Other idiots were out, no doubt on their way to work like me. Never mind that you couldn’t see the road, let alone a hundred feet in front of you, these people were flying down it! I was passed seven times on my way to work this morning and my normal 35-minute drive took me an hour and a half. Not to be bitter or anything, but I hope they all ended up in the ditch. It would serve ‘em right.
In other news, the sun peeked out today! Yay! It was so nice to see it out in all of its sunshiny goodness.
It’s official: I live in the wrong state!
