Wednesday is my new code word for Friday

It occurred to me this morning that although I’ve posted a couple times already this week, I’ve forgotten to include a countdown at the end of each post, breaking from my faithful tradition.  Whoops!  I’ll have to remember to include my countdown when I’m through here.  I choose to blame my absentmindedness on being incredibly tired this week, but I think we all know that I would forget my head if it weren’t attached, so I guess I really have no excuse for my absentmindedness.  ‘Tis nothing new.  Oh well.

I have decided that today is not Wednesday, as the calendar says, but Friday.  That way tomorrow can be Saturday and I won’t have to work.  That’s the theory, anyway.  Suppose anyone else will go for it?  My boss, for example?

*sigh*  I had the most wonderful illusion this morning.  I kept thinking it was Thursday, but then the realization that Friday is the 20th and today is only the 18th made me realize that tomorrow cannot possibly be Friday and now I’m sad.  I realize this is the third time in two sentences that I’ve used the word realize or some variation thereof, but you know what?  I’m too tired to think of a better word, so nanner-nanner-boo-boo!

Don’t ask where that came from.  I’m not sure I want to know.

In other news, I’m going to attempt today at lunch to transform a brilliant story idea that I’ve not yet come up with into a mediocre bit of tripe in order to satisfy someone’s longing for a “suddenly they all died” ending.  I am far overdue for one.
