More weekend news…

August 26, 2009 Kay Lynn 2 comments

…because apparently I didn’t finish filling you all in on all the lovely happenings from last weekend.  And apparently I didn’t finish earlier, either, because it’s now four hours later than when I started this.  You see, I thought I would quickly look up the Ferengi Rules of Acquisition.  The problem is that the website I found them at had lots of other really cool stuff…and I might have gotten distracted.  A bit.  Okay, a lot.  They had such things as “If Dr. Seuss Wrote for Star Trek and “46 Things Which Never Happen in Star Trek, among many other lovely articles.  The geek is strong with this one. :)

Okay, so I started writing about old friends and movies and Bacardi.  (Hey, that sounds almost like Picard!)  So Saturday I ran into another old friend, all thanks to a mix-up over where I was going to give Greg a thermos full of water.  See, he thought I was going to walk down the street and give it to him and I thought he was going to be walking toward the house, so I eventually wound up walking down the street and finding him.  As he drank some water and we stood there talking, a car drove down the street and the girl inside waved.  I waved back, and we seemed to recognize each other simultaneously.  Yay old friends!  ‘Twas another old friend from high school.  I don’t think we’d seen each other in seven years, so that was super awesome.  We stood there and talked and then she gave me a ride home and I gave her the grand tour of our house, since she hadn’t been in it in probably the last seven years.  Anyway, she didn’t stay too long because she had to go downtown to meet her husband and her mother-in-law was watching their kids, but she said she was going to be down there for a while and I should come down.  So I tidied up the house a bit and walked on down and had a nice visit.  She gave me a ride home later, which was nice of her because it was really hot out Saturday.  Yay for randomly running into old friends!

Oh!  And Sunday we watched Twilight.  It was all right, I guess.  I don’t know that I’m ready to run right out and devour the books, but I’ll probably see the next movie when it comes out.  I was surprised to learn that the guy who played Charlie Swan was on an episode of Deep Space 9.  Lovely!

By the time Twilight was over, it was late and we were both tired, so we didn’t watch He’s Just Not That Into You, which was sad.  But on the bright side, we did watch it Monday night because we were both home early (Tom was sick over the weekend, so Joe stayed home with him Monday morning and I took off work early and watched him during the afternoon) and the movie didn’t have to be back to the store till 7:00 p.m.  Love!  It was such a good movie.  Parts of it were painful (mostly the parts involving Gigi) to watch, but it was all worth it in the end.  Yay Justin Long!  Boo Bradley Cooper (jerk).  I was glad he got what he had coming.  And why was it we all used to think that Ben Affleck was good-looking?  Goofy-looking is more like it.  Then again, I was always more partial to Matt Damon.  *sigh*

Anyway, so the movie rocked, the seeing the old friends rocked, and I had just a lovely weekend in general.  This weekend is my bridal shower, so I’m sure it will be jam-packed.  But yay for seeing friends and family and meeting people who will soon become family…and dealing with my sister.  I called her last night to ask her if she planned to go (Greg said she had better go or he was going to kick her butt) and you know, I really shouldn’t have had to ask her that.  Anyway, she started in with the excuses about how she doesn’t have a car so she doesn’t know how she would get there and she has 50 million things going on (yeah, she’s unemployed and the brakes are out on her car.  I doubt she’s really all that busy).  She lives three blocks away from me.  I finally said, “Look, I’ll pick you up at 12:30 p.m.”  The shower is at one.  And the more I think about it, the more I think perhaps I should be there sooner than that, even, so I don’t know.  We’ll see what happens.

I have the best fiancé ever!  He told me he had a surprise for me tonight and it turned out to be Super Mario All-Stars and Donkey Kong Country for Super Nintendo!  I love Donkey Kong Country and all the Mario games.  Woo!  So once again it is several hours later, but this time my thumbs hurt from all the lovely old-school Nintendo I’ve been playing all night.  We played Mario 3 for a long time and finally switched over to Mario 1.  Yay yay yay!

And now, I believe it’s time for bed.

And the winners are…

August 25, 2009 Kay Lynn 3 comments

So we’ve finally picked out our cake and the flowers.  The winning cake is:

HeartsSpiralsAndRibbon_big

We’re having three tiers instead of the four in the picture.  And we’re also having an actual cake topper instead of flowers.  It’s this cute little Precious Moments couple feeding each other cake and is completely adorable.  And instead of green ribbon, we’re using red.  It’s actually very similar to the green ribbon in the picture, except that the shading is reversed: where the green is lighter on the top and bottom, our red is darker and where the green is darker in the middle, our red is lighter.  The middle of our ribbon is sheer, so some of the frosting will be visible behind it, instead of solid like the ribbon in the picture.  I think it will still look nice.  And the best part is that we don’t have to do a thing to set it up, which rocks because I have no business assembling a cake.

We also finally managed to agree on flowers.  I wanted a cascade bouquet, but it just wasn’t going to fit our budget. *sniffle sniffle*  So this is what we finally decided on:

fall

Isn’t it pretty?  I really don’t like calla lilies all that much, but they don’t bother me in this bouquet because they’re more of an accent and not so much the focus of the arrangement.  I can handle that.  Besides, you need something to kind of break up all that lovely fall color and it’s a nice tie-in to the silver in the wedding.  Now if only my florist would get back to me…I emailed her last nigt regarding our final flower decisions but haven’t heard back from her yet.  I still need some advice on what to do for corsages for my aunt, Greg’s mom, my grandpa’s wife, and his two grandmas.  Everything else flower-related we pretty well planned out last night.  Or at least I did! :)   I was thinking bouquets of three or four roses for the girls and calla lily boutonnieres for the guys.  We’re also planning to have two white lilies at the front of the church.  I can’t wait to see what it all will look like!

We ordered a new name plate for me at work yesterday.  We also started looking at notary stamps, because after next month I’ll need a new one.  I could still technically continue using my old name after I’m married, but I don’t want to so I found the form online that I need to fill out and send in.  I’ve got it all ready to go, I think, but I’m going to hold off on mailing it until after the wedding.  I can’t get a new notary stamp till I get a new notary certificate, evidently, but that’s okay since I can just keep using my old one till the new one comes in.  Or I can just have someone else handle the notarizing.  It’s not like we have a shortage of notaries in our office – we’re all notaries here!

I had the loveliest phone call earlier.  My phone started buzzing while I was skimming through the first book order of the year, so I picked it up.  “Hello?” I said.  “I love you,” came the reply.  I’ll give you one guess who it was. :)   How lovely to get phone calls like that!  I think I’ll be squeeing over it all afternoon. *happy contented sigh*

If my raging headache is any indication, I need to lay off the Diet Pepsi and hit up the iced tea in the fridge.  I’ve been a bit dehydrated lately and have been replacing better-for-you-than-pop beverages with not-nearly-as-yummy-as-regular-pop-but-still-caffeinated ones.  Apparently my head is trying to tell me that that is sooo not a good idea, because I had a nasty headache last night and while it was mostly gone for most of the morning, it started rearing its ugly head again shortly before I went to lunch.  Clearly heavy medication and iced tea-y goodness are in order.

Finally posting!

August 23, 2009 Kay Lynn Leave a comment

I’ve been meaning to post for the last three days.  I’ve been getting about as far as opening the “New Post” window.  Then my ambition seems to disappear.  But not today!  Today I will post!

Catastrophe Alert!  The computer backup drive has broken.  This is bad.  Very, very bad.

Bigger Catastrophe Alert!  Rachael got clunked on the head by a ladder this morning and had to have stitches.  She went camping with her mom and while they were cleaning up the camper, they bumped into the ladder up to the bunk beds and it fell and hit Rachael in the forehead.  School pictures are Wednesday.

Okay, so it’s been a while since I started this post.  We went to Waterloo and got some things taken care of, both before and after the trip to the hospital with Rachael, and then we saw District 9.  We were disappointed.  And the whole movie was full of those jerky camera angles, where it’s supposed to look more realistic but just ends up giving me a headache.  I have a Class 3 Head Exploder going on now.  And I had just gotten rid of the one I woke up with this morning.  Thanks a lot, Peter Jackson.

In more exciting news, I found one of my best friends from middle school on Facebook yesterday.  YAY!!!  She moved away in ninth grade and we wrote to each other for a while, but then she must have moved because I never heard from her again.  Thank God for Facebook!  Am super excited to be reconnected with long-lost friends who have traveled the globe (or who have at least escaped G-R).

And now, to get shnockered (?) on a six-pack of Bacardi Strawberry while watching Twilight and He’s Just Not That Into You.  If only the weekend were longer…

The winds of change are a-blowin’

August 20, 2009 Kay Lynn Leave a comment

Or at least the winds of August.  It’s an unusually cool day today for the middle of August.  The high is only supposed to be 72° and the breeze is quite cool.  Not that I’m complaining, mind you; it’s actually quite nice.  Just different.  That’s all.  Honest.

I’ve been feeling rather down in the dumps lately.  Must be all the stress and whatnot.  I can’t seem to shake it.  I can’t wait till the end of next month.

Saturday I have to take my dad to Waterloo for an MRI and a tux fitting.  That should make for an interesting day.  He was supposed to have the MRI last weekend, but I didn’t want to take him and two kids to the hospital.  It would have been like herding cats.  So he pushed it back a week and now I’m taking him this weekend.  And of course that meant that I had to push back my hair run-through with Angie to next weekend.  Oh, well, I guess.  Hopefully this MRI will show something, because none of the other tests they run on him ever do.

I can’t wait to go home.  I just want to sit down and do nothing tonight.

It has begun…

August 19, 2009 Kay Lynn Leave a comment

Tom started school today.  My little boy is now a big boy.  I can’t believe he’s in kindergarten already; where did the time go?  It seems like just yesterday that we brought him home from the hospital, all snuggled into his car seat in his cute little outfit (white with blue teddy bears, as I recall).  He loved to snuggle into my shoulder and sleep that way.  Now he snuggles into my side, but only when he’s not busy playing with his storm troopers or playing hide and seek.  I can’t believe how big he’s gotten!

Clearly I need to have more kids.  That’s the only solution.

I took some pictures of him at home, in front of the school, and in front of his locker this morning.  I would post them, but I seem to be without my USB cable, so I’m a bit SOL till I get home and can hook everything up.  If my computer had a card reader in it, it wouldn’t make any difference that I don’t have my USB cable, but it doesn’t.  The fax machine does, but it’s not hooked up to my computer anymore, so that doesn’t help.  I guess you’ll all just have to wait.

And now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go cry.

40 Days

August 17, 2009 Kay Lynn 1 comment

The last four days have seemed like a whirlwind.  I was absolutely swamped at work on Friday, thanks to doing payroll and billing and trying to keep things running smoothly by myself.  I don’t normally do payroll or billing, so those were both a bit nerve-wracking.  Saturday was spent running errands with the kids, once I finally crawled out of bed at 9:30 a.m.  I got everything done but one thing, and I guess I should have just gotten out of the car.  Darn place not having their open sign turned on.  So now I have to wait till tomorrow to get that taken care of.  Yesterday after church, we headed down to Des Moines to get my wedding dress bustled.  Imagine my horror when I discovered that there was a rip in some of the fabric!  Fortunately, the rip was in some of the netting in the slip and wasn’t actually part of the dress itself, so that was a huge relief.  We got a new slip and I was good to go!  The bustle looks so pretty.  Very Cinderella.  Yay! :)

Today has been more of the same: running around like a chicken with my head cut off while trying to keep it all together.  I ran out of the house without some papers for my aunt this morning, so I guess if Greg doesn’t email them to me before I leave, I’ll just have to drop them off tomorrow night.  Tomorrow night is the kindergarten open house, so tomorrow will be a busy night.  Tonight the plan is to clean the house from top to bottom…again.  Am tired of cleaning the house.  I suppose since it’s mostly in order because we were gone so much of the weekend, it shouldn’t be a huge task, so that’s good.

There are only 40 days left till the wedding!  It still seems like we have so much to do.  The closer it gets, the more I feel like I’m losing my mind.  I’m beginning to panic about everything; I find myself worrying that important things won’t be done on time (like Jenni’s dress, which, thank goodness, will be in before the end of the month) and that we’ll have only half of what we need.  I still haven’t picked my flowers for sure yet and I’m waiting on an email from my florist with answers to questions…from last week.  We found a picture of a cake we both like, but we haven’t met with the cake decorators at Hy-Vee yet to find out if they can do what we want.  I hope they’ll be able to.  The problem is that they’re only there in the mornings and the stupid store is in Cedar Falls.  At least I assume we’ll be using the Cedar Falls Hy-Vee and not the Waterloo one.  Either way, we don’t get over there very often and when we do, it’s usually in the evening, so that doesn’t exactly work real well.  *sigh*

I’m also not very happy with how my dress looks on me, but it’s no one’s fault but my own.  I think if I lost even ten pounds and managed to keep it off till the wedding that my dress would fit better.  It’s supposed to be snug in the bodice – it’s strapless – but it’s snug to the point that it looks to me like I’m overflowing the top of the dress.  As I looked at myself in the mirror yesterday, all I could hear was Keira Knightley in Pirates of the Caribbean, as imitated by Jenni: “You like pain?  Try wearing a corset!”  And then once I got changed back into my regular clothes, they felt ridiculously loose on me.  Funny how fast you get used to things.

And now my lunch break seems to be over, so I suppose I should probably get back to work.  It would be nice to get my desk cleared off and know where I stand with things.  I’m beginning to feel lately like I’m losing my mind and I really don’t like that feeling.  Maybe once I’m through the next couple of months things will improve.  I certainly hope so.

Icky icky boo

August 13, 2009 Kay Lynn 2 comments

Oh, how I dislike cleaning.  Sure, I know, there’s a good reason for it, but that doesn’t make it any more enjoyable.  My feet have been hurting all day and only God knows why; I don’t remember the last time my shoulders weren’t acting up; and my neck is really beginning to bother me.  I’m tired of hurting.  I’m tired of being stressed out.  I can’t wait for September to be over with.  Especially the wedding part – I can’t wait for the wedding part.

Dig the new layout.

Today has been rather a comedy of errors.  For instance, I was running late this morning.  I always seem to be running late in the morning, but I usually manage to make up the time on the road.  Today, however, I was running late and was two miles out of town when I realized I left my cell phone sitting on the table in the dining room.  Crap.  So, I turned around and went back home to get it and, of course, got stuck behind the world’s slowest driver right outside of town, where there was no possibility of passing him.  Then at work it was like all hell broke loose.  The restoration company that has been there for the last three days cleaning up the office had industrial-strength fans going all day to dry out the carpets.  Those are really loud.  On top of that, they were vacuuming.  The glass guys returned to fix some more windows.  Breaking glass is loud, especially when it hits the bottom of an empty garbage can.  With all of that going on, it was a miracle that I heard the phone ring.  It was a miracle that I could carry on a conversation with clients who came in without resorting to sign language or passing notes.  It was a miracle I managed to hear the lecture about keeping on top of things from the boss.  It was a miracle I managed not to tear up at said lecture, given my wild mood swings lately.

How I wish I could just kick back and relax tonight!  I would love to wile away the next couple of hours snuggled up to mah hunny on the couch watching Star Trek or Defying Gravity or Bones.  How lovely ‘twould be!  But no.  Instead, I get to clean like a madwoman.  I’m a little tired of cleaning.

Oh, right, all the things that happened to try my soul today.  Shortly after the keeping-on-top-of-things speech, I got a phone call from Greg.  Apparently I forgot to give our accompanist the sheet music and the list of stuff we want played for the wedding.  I had stopped one night to drop it off and she wasn’t home.  Evidently I forgot to stop back.  With everything we’ve had going on the last month or so, I’m surprised I haven’t left my brain somewhere.  Oh, wait, maybe I did and that’s why I can’t seem to function intelligently lately.  That must be it.

In other news, does anyone know someone skilled in back removal?  Now that my headache has gone away and I’m no longer considering decapitation as a means of pain relief, I am seeking relief for upper back/neck/shoulder tension pain.  Cutting all that off seems to be my best bet.  But if anyone has any less drastic suggestions, I’d be willing to entertain them.  Although back rubs seem to be rather ineffective lately.  Don’t get me wrong, Greg gave me one earlier and if felt wonderful…right up until he stopped.  Then I was right back where I started.  *sigh*

Saw my cousin Sandra at the courthouse today with her dad.  She was getting her driver’s license renewed and we talked for a bit while she waited.  It’s been a long time since I’ve seen her!  She spent the last year in England studying at Cambridge (see this for all the deets).  It was really good to see her again.  She said she’s been back for a week but still feels a bit jet-lagged (or at least she’s gonna milk it for all it’s worth;)).  Yay for seeing long-lost cousins again!

Oy.  Am getting side-tracked by games when I should be blogging quickly while I have the chance.  On the other hand, a twin pop sounds mighty tempting…No.  Must stay out of kitchen.  Must avoid food.  Or not.

And the cleanup continues

August 12, 2009 Kay Lynn Leave a comment

The glass guys came yesterday and got some of the windows and the door replaced.  They’re back again today working on the rest of the windows and I have to say that it looks a lot better.  It’s a little weird without the sign on the door, but it’s much better than it was on Monday.  There was another group of people here working on the carpet and a wide variety of other things, too, but they seem to be gone now.  I wonder if they’re coming back.  I bet they just decided to break for lunch or something.

I’m feeling lots better today.  YAY!!!!!  My tummy is still a little unhappy with me and my head still hurts a little when I think about it, but for the most part I am back to normal and loving every minute of it.  It’s wonderful what a little prayer can do.

Today has gone quite quickly.  Well, the morning did; the afternoon seems to be passing by a bit slower.  Hopefully things will pick up soon.  It’s weird not being able to run to the courthouse for afternoon errands; they’re closed again today.  They still have a bunch of windows out; I wonder how much they’ve been able to get done as far as cleaning up inside.  The sidewalks around the square are looking a lot better, but they’re still cordoned off by police tape on the west side of the building where all the really heavy damage seems to have been.  One of the huge old trees was split in two and will have to come down; it’s going to look strange without it there.  At least things are beginning to get somewhat back to normal.

Hmm, I’ve been promising to write about my weekend now for the last three days and since I haven’t done it yet, I guess now’s about as good a time as any.  So Saturday as I was getting in the shower, the phone rang.  Someone wanted to look at our house…in two hours.  I was in a hurry and spruced it up a bit, but it was far from immaculate.  I eventually made it to Vinton to drop off some money for my sister, but not without getting quite angry with our realtor and then with our gps for giving me rotten directions (and for bumping into my purse, causing buttons to be pushed that had no business being pushed).  I finally made it to Iowa City and met Jenni at Coral Ridge Mall, where we shopped and ate and shopped some more before heading back to her new apartment and hanging out for the rest of the afternoon.  We decided to get something to eat around five and hit downtown like a whirlwind, grabbing pizza at Mesa and gelato at Cappana (?) before wandering around and taking in the sights.  Saw many places mentioned by Miss Tara in her lovely posts about IC with friends, including Gypsy Magic (but they were closing, so we didn’t stop).  I decided that next time I hit up Iowa City, I need to come armed with cash (and maybe a personal shopping-bag-carrier-guy).  Eventually got home and watched some t.v. with Greg before hitting the sack and calling it a night.  Sunday we hit up Walmart in search of things to take to the family reunion/wedding at Backbone State Park.  We looked at their wedding cake selection, but weren’t terribly impressed, especially when we found out that they don’t assemble the cake for you.  I have no business assembling a wedding cake.  If I tried, there would be cake everywhere.  Walmart was promptly crossed off our list as wedding cake provider.  We had planned to stop at Hy-Vee that morning on our way up to Backbone, but we ran out of time.  Maybe we’ll get it done this weekend.  Anyway, so we finally got to the park and discovered that the wedding/reunion was being held inside the Grand Lodge.  Yay!  It was thundering by the time we got there and it wasn’t long before it was raining.  The park ranger made a couple appearances with his bullhorn, warning of tornado warnings and advising boaters (WTF, guys?  Did you see the sky Sunday?) to get out of the water and head for shelter.  Luckily, all they got up there was wind and rain and not tornadoes.  We heard news about what happened in Eldora on the way up, though, and thought the stories had been exaggerated a bit, but we soon found out otherwise.  And that was pretty much it for my weekend.

*yawn*  And now, I suppose, I should get something done…

Frosting and details for cake…oh my!

August 11, 2009 Kay Lynn 6 comments

Have spent a considerable chunk of my morning checking out the results of my Google search for “wedding cakes.”  Some neat ideas popped up in the results; for instance,

this one:

brocadefallweddingcake

 and this one:

ChinaClassicinBlack_big

and this one:

TumblingLeaves_big

But perhaps the most awesome one I saw was this one:

bond cake

You can find a bigger version of it here, where it resides in all its most awesome glory.  Seriously, is that not awesome?  Definitely not in the running for our cake, but amusing nevertheless.  I really like all the pretty brocaded, swirly cakes.  Now if only we can get them done in red and silver…The leafy cake is pretty, too, though, so I guess I’ll have to see what Greg thinks.  I found a couple of really good sites that had tons of cake pictures, so yay!

In other news, I am home sick from work today, which is how I can justify spending the morning surfing the intertubes for awesome cake pictures.  I plan to spend the afternoon having a lovely Star Trek marathon so’s I can get caught up on the second season of the original series.  We’ve made it to season 7 of Deep Space Nine, so I’d like to finish up with the original series so we can get started on The Next Generation next.  But Star Trek will have to wait a bit yet as I still need to figure out the flowers and I would like to have my options in order to discuss with Greg later, so I suppose I’d better get on that.

Oh!  And supremely awful bad news!  My friend Amber called me last night.  She had surgery on her shoulder about a month and a half ago and has been off work ever since.  She was supposed to be one of my bridesmaids.  She was also supposed to be getting some short-term disability benefits and has not yet received a thing.  This is very bad news because a) now she’s falling behind on her bills, which ain’t good, and b) she doesn’t have the money for the bridesmaid dress, so she can’t be in the wedding, and c) she may not be able to come to the wedding at all!  Such horrible news!  Amber couldn’t come to my first wedding because she couldn’t get off work (and since she lives in California, it’s not like she could just come late) and she’s not sure that she’ll be able to come to this one now.  Her dad is also getting married next month and she was supposed to be in his wedding, too, but they’re paying for her dress and her plane ticket, so she’ll still be able to come back for that.  If we had the money, I would do the same thing in a heartbeat, but we don’t.  I wish we did.  I really want her to be here, and I know she wants that, too.  It’s not like she really has any control over this, but it still sucks.  I have a phone call in to someone else (who, incidentally, I would have also asked to be a bridesmaid, but a) she wasn’t sure she would be here way back when I was asking people to stand up with me and b) I would have asked her anyway but we decided we would each only have three people standing up with us), so hopefully she’ll call me back today and say she can do it and can go get her dress ordered in the next couple of days.  Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Speaking of work (because I know I did somewhere up there), the carpet guys are coming today.  I’m not sure if they’re guys coming to replace the carpet or just guys coming to clean the carpet, but at any rate, it sounds like I wouldn’t have gotten much done at work today.  The whole town is just a mess; I’ve never seen anything like it and I’m really not sure how to describe it.  Pictures don’t even do it justice.  Most of the trees around the square are completely leafless; there were people out shoveling leaves yesterday.  The hail on the sidewalk in front of our office after the storm was so thick that it looked like winter.  Jim took some pictures on Sunday before they started cleaning everything up, but they just couldn’t compare to seeing everything firsthand.  The pockmarks on the walls were a sight to see.  It seemed like every window in town was boarded up, but a lot of them actually escaped damage, so those people were lucky.  A lot of the businesses around the square have those big plate glass windows and that would have made for a heck of a mess to clean up if those had broken.  I only saw a couple of them that didn’t survive intact, and they were along the south side of the square, which, along with the west side, got hit the hardest.

I was going to write about my weekend now, but I’m getting rather sleepy, so I think I’ll just lie down for a bit.

Cleanup

August 10, 2009 Kay Lynn Leave a comment

So today was an interesting day at work…

I spent all morning picking up shards of glass and still didn’t get it all. The office has been vacuumed four or five times and there’s still glass everywhere. Probably the only way to get rid of it all will be to replace the carpet. Frankly, it could use an update – we’ve been there five years now and no one really knows how old the carpet is. I meant to take my camera along with me to work this morning but forgot to grab it on my way out of the house, so no piccies, I’m afraid. I’m sure, though, that there are plenty to be found on the internet. Eldora looks much like Parkersburg did last year, except the houses are still standing.  By the way, “John” Sween?  That was my boss.  His name is Jim, not John.  The guy from Channel 5 stopped by this morning to apologize in person for getting his name wrong.

I have seen so much glass today that when I went upstairs just now to tuck Rachael in, I saw a piece of plastic from a package lying on the floor and thought it was glass.  Whoops. :)

There is lots more to write about, but my head is seriously killing me, so I think I will save posting about my weekend for later.  When my head doesn’t hurt.
